Charles Baxter "Foots" Clement was born 1904, Rover, Arkansas. University of Alabama football stalwart 1928, 1929 and 1930, during which time the team won 22, lost 6. He captained and played tackle on the undefeated 1930 team which defensively allowed only 13 points all season and then defeated Washington State 24-0 in the 1931 Rose Bowl. He was named to the Southern Conference team as well as winning All American honors. He also participated in track and boxing and was an outstanding student as well. He served as Cadet Colonel of the University Regiment, Business Manager of Yearbook "Corolla", and President of the senior class. After a distinguished career "Foots" Clement passed away in 1976.
