Tom Banks was born August 20, in Birmingham, AL in 1948. High school All-America in 1965. Represented Alabama in Jr. Olympics. At Auburn, first-team All-SEC center as sophomore; first-team All-SEC ‘68; first team All-SEC center ‘69 and Auburn co-captain; 3rd team All-American. Played in Senior Bowl in ‘70. Drafted in 8th round by St. Louis. Played 11 seasons with Cardinals, where he was All-Pro in ‘75, ‘76, ‘77 and ’78. First player signed by the Birmingham Stallions. Played every snap with the Stallions in ‘83. Hired by Rollie Dotsch to coach offensive line in 1984. He resides in Fairhope, Alabama.
