Tom Banks was born in Birmingham, AL in 1948. High school All-America in 1965. Represented Alabama in Jr. Olympics. At Auburn, first-team All-SEC center as sophomore; first-team All-SEC 68; first team All-SEC center 69 and Auburn co-captain; 3rd team All-American. Played in Senior Bowl in 70. Drafted in 8th round by St. Louis. Played 11 seasons with Cardinals, where he was All-Pro in 75, 76, 77 and 78. First player signed by the Birmingham Stallions. Played every snap with the Stallions in 83. Hired by Rollie Dotsch to coach offensive line in 1984. He resides in Fairhope, Alabama.
