Leon Douglas was born August 26, 1954 in Leighton, Alabama. Was the MVP of Alabama High School basketball in 1972, High School All-American in 1972. Signed with the University of Alabama and played on 3 conference basketball championship teams, 1974, 1975, and 1976. The Alabama Sports Writers Amateur Athlete of the year in 1975. All-Southeastern Conference in 1975-76 and voted the SEC Most Valuable Player. Named All-American in 1975-76. Member of Jason Honor Society at University of Alabama. First round draft pick of Detroit Pistons in 1976. In 1980 he went to the Kansas City Kings and in 1983 he went overseas to play. Until 1990 he played in Italy and France. In 1991 and 1992 he was the Assistant General manager and assistant coach of an Italian basketball team. He is currently the head basketball at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
