Born January 3, 1964 in Birmingham, AL .  Played collegiately at the University of Alabama from 1983-’86.  All-SEC three consecutive years (’84-’86).  Alabama ’s fourth leading all-time scorer with 1,896 points.  He ranks eighth on the Tide’s all-time rebounding list with 933 rebounds.  Was named to the All-SEC Tournament team in 1985 and ’86.  He was a member of the Gold Medal winning USA Team in the Junior World Championship in 1983.  Was drafted in the 1st round of the NBA Draft (20 pick overall) by the Houston Rockets in 1986.  He helped lead the Rockets to the playoffs five of seven years. During his NBA career he scored 4,617 points, averaging 9.2 a game.  He also played in Europe for eight and half years.  He was an all-star six of the eight years.
