Born April 14, 1928 in Birmingham,Alabama. He has served was the Executive Director of the State o fAlabama Sports Hall of Fame Since1985. He was instrumental in the planning and overseeing of the construction and then the move in 1992 into the Hall of Fame’s outstanding new facility, considered one of the best in the country. He was also instrumental in development of the Bryant Jordan Student Athlete Scholarship Program and served as its first administrator. He has also played leadership role in statewide high school athletics. For seventeen years, he directed the state wrestling tournament and for over twenty-five years he has managed state championship football games played at Legion Field. He has also been inducted into many other Sports Hall of Fame including WoodlawnHigh School, Birmingham Southern College, and the Alabama Coaches Hall of Fame.
