Wade Herren won over 200 titles including the Alabama high school singles titles in 1943 and 1944, the Southern Boys singles title in 1942, the Southern Junior singles title in 1944, and two U.S. titles. While at Tulane University, he won the SEC No. 1 Singles Championship. He was ranked No.1 in singles and doubles in the Southern Lawn Tennis Association, No.1 in the South in the Husband and Wife Division, and No. 1 in the National Senior Doubles. He founded Southern Tennis Magazine, Highland Racket Club and was named to Tennis Industry Magazine’s list of the top 100 influential people in the sport of tennis. He is a member of the Southern Tennis Association HOF, the Alabama Tennis Association HOF, and the Birmingham-Southern HOF.
